Butler County to consider Workforce Alliance agreement, Resolution 26-43

October 31, 2026 government, public meetings, agenda preview

The Butler County Board of County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 205 W. Central Ave., 4th Floor, in El Dorado.

Commissioners will consider Resolution 26-43, approving as to form a proposed agreement between Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas, Inc. and the Chief Elected Officials Board for the Kansas Local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Area IV.

The resolution would also authorize the county's designated representative to the Chief Elected Officials Board to sign the agreement. The county last entered into an agreement on Aug. 15, 2023, through Resolution 23-33.

The staff report says commissioners would first make an appointment to the board and then approve the resolution. No local dollars are used, though local entities are accountable for the federal dollars.
